The Minority Leader, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has criticised the Akufo-Addo administration, accusing it of eight years of poor governance.
He labelled the government as incompetent in economic management.
Speaking at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign launch in Tamale on Saturday, July 27, Dr Ato Forson stated that Ghanaians cannot afford another term under the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He emphasised that President Akufo-Addo's tenure has been marked by incompetence and the mismanagement of scarce resources.
Dr Ato Forson urged Ghanaians who are apathetic or disinterested in politics to reconsider their stance, stressing that poor governance affects everyone.
He declared that the current government had failed and led Ghana into bankruptcy.
He called on the electorate to vote, highlighting that the 2024 election is a critical moment.
He urged citizens not to remain passive but to engage actively, as it is their communal duty to rescue the nation.
It has been eight years of borrowing and bad governance, eight years of corruption, lies, and incompetence” he stated.
