Famous Ghanaian content creator, Mighty Osei Sibe, has shared the rationale behind the skits he creates with his mother.
In a recent interview on Joy Prime's afternoon show, Changes, Mighty mentioned that his motive is to make his mother happy while alive so as not to regret after her demise.
"She's my mother and this is the time I’ll have to make her feel happy because when she's dead and gone, that wouldn't the time to stand by her corpse and begin to regret for not creating memories and happy moments with her. At the end of the day, she's the one who took care of me,” he said.
For this, Mighty is not bothered by critics tagging him as a mommy's boy.
Everything began in a car while they were going to church. But after posting the video and it went viral, he decided to be consistent by craeting more skits with his mother since she liked the idea of being popular.
"We were all looking nice and playing a music in the car and I decided to just take a video of it. While we were dancing and listening to the song, all of a sudden she said 'ke wa' and I was surprised where that came from. So, I just posted it and it went viral. Also, she has always been a sort of person who has always loved to be out there; she's a fun-loving person. So, it was just like an opportunity for me to also make her popular. I just decided to be consistent with it but I didn’t imagine that it will go this far and here we are today," he told the host, Roselyn Felli.
Mighty looks forward to inspiring other people to develop a cordial relationship with their parents with his contents and eliminate the perception of children not being able to have normal conversations with their parents.
From selling food together to creating skits, the mother and son have ignited their bond as Mighty has become her favourite amongst his siblings.
The two have exemplified the role of family dynamics in content creation, serving as an inspiration to others.
