Iconic Ghanaian gospel musician, Esther Smith, has stated her stance on the involvement of gospel music.
According to her, gospel music must be taken very seriously because it has more than what meets the eye.
“There are so many attacks in it. Therefore, we should take it seriously. It’s not about fame,” she told DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz.
Comparing the genre of hiplife and gospel, she explained that gospel music is about ministration.
“When it comes to praises and worship, you are ministering Christ, the anointed one to the people, to the sickness so we need to take it very seriously,” she noted.
Fans can look forward to powerful performances by Mark Anim, Emens, Adom Kiki, Nana Yaw Asare, Becky Bonney, Diana Hammond, Kweku Teye, Minstrel Maadwoa, Paa Sammy, and Joyce Blessing.
Artists like Randy Agyemang, Oware Junior, Morris Babyface, Minister Lady Prempeh, Stella Precious, Dorcas Appiah, Mister OJ, Noble Nketia, and Ps Joe Beechem will also be performing.
The event kicks off on the 30th of August 2024 at the Perez Dome, at 5 pm.
