Profile of Nana Bediako Brogya-Sarpong (Brogya Resources Limited)

Nana Bediako Brogya-Sarpong, known in private life as Carl Brogya-Sarpong, is the Dompiahene of Agogo Asante Akyim Traditional Area.
Nana’s exemplary leadership and unique way of portraying and selling Ghana’s rich culture to the world accorded him a slot on the red carpet at the just-ended BET 2024 awards at the Peacock Theatre, Los Angeles.
Nana Brogya was a Banker and worked with Barclays Bank Ghana, now Absa for almost a decade. He started from the Corporate Services Center and rose to become an AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Analyst at the Compliance Unit.
The Bank ultimately sponsored him to pursue an Executive Education in Compliance Career Academy (CCA) at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School (UK) and after a decade of service at the bank, Nana found new opportunities in Ghana’s oil and gas industry and left to found Brogya Resources Limited, an Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas, Haulage and Logistics Company.

Nana is also the founder of Daakye Farms Food Hub, a farming, food and Beverage Company which supplies their clients with fresh farm produce directly from the farms to the doorsteps of their clients or processed to exceed their expectations.
Nana is also the Chairman of Legible Ink Consults Ltd. a security and general printing firm.
He is also the founder and President of the Brogya Foundation which is a non-governmental organization that seeks to promote the well-being of children from disadvantaged backgrounds, especially those of women who lost their lives due to childbirth complications.

The Dompiahene of Agogo Traditional Area, Nana Bediako-Sarpong, founded this foundation in honour of his younger sister, the late Sandra Afrakomah Brogya who lost her life while giving birth to her second child.
Nana Bediako Sarpong and his wife, Mrs. Sheila Brogya, adopted the baby and his elder brother and cared for them.
This got the couple asking about the fate of kids who lose their mums in similar situations but do not have the benefit of receiving love and attention from close family members.
This question led the couple to establish the Brogya Foundation to support such children.
The foundation promotes every child's rights and total well-being, leaving no child behind in his jurisdiction. Areas of support for the children include education, health and wellness, skills development, etc.
The foundation in partnership with Bayport Financial Service provided infant incubators and phototherapy equipment to the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital children's ward to help reduce infant mortality.
The foundation also contributes yearly to the welfare of orphans, the vulnerable and the physically disabled children by donating educational materials and relief items to support them whilst focusing on a multi-purpose complex to house and cater for these underprivileged children to give them hope for their future.
