Dreams FC and Hearts of Oak played out a goalless draw on matchday seven of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, leaving Dreams still searching for their first win of the campaign.
Abdul Karim Zito's side, winless in their first six matches, struggled to break through a solid Hearts defence, marshalled by Kelvin Osei Asibey. Despite their efforts, Dreams could not find the cutting edge needed to secure victory.
Hearts of Oak’s Hamzah Issah had the first real chance of the game, unleashing a powerful shot that narrowly missed the target. However, clear-cut opportunities were few and far between for both teams in a cautious first half, which ended goalless.
Aboubakar Outarra, Hearts' head coach, made early adjustments in the second half, introducing Amankwah Baafi for Yahaya Dramani to add more energy to his side. About 15 minutes into the half, Hearts of Oak came close to breaking the deadlock when Kwabena Boateng found space in the box, but his effort failed to find the back of the net.
As the match progressed, Hearts made further substitutions, with Asamoah Boateng and Salim Adams coming on for Ahmed Ramzy and Kwabena Boateng, respectively, as they pressed forward in search of a winner.
On the opposite bench, Zito responded with his own changes, bringing on Shaban Mohammed for Sulemana Suweidu and Jonathan Nemorden for Isaac Yaro to inject fresh legs into the Dreams attack.
Despite the tactical shifts, both sides cancelled each other out in a tightly contested affair, and the game ended 0-0.
The result leaves Dreams FC winless after seven matches, while Hearts of Oak will see this as a missed opportunity to climb further up the table.
