Immediate past Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) UK East London Chapter, Richard Agyare, has been honoured by the party for his dedication and contributions to the organisation of the chapter's activities over the years.
In a Certificate of Appreciation dated 1 August 2026 and signed by Chairman Yaw Addae Boadu and Secretary Emmanuel Amoako, the chapter commended Agyare for his "dedicated service, commitment and valuable contributions" to the NPP UK East London Chapter.
"In recognition of your dedicated service, commitment and valuable contributions to the NPP UK East London Chapter. This positive impact has been greatly appreciated and has helped make a meaningful difference in organising the chapter's activities," the citation read.
Popularly known as Akwasi Poku or Nana Poku, Richard Agyare's contributions extend beyond party politics to his home constituency of Offinso South in the Ashanti Region.
His philanthropic activities include the construction of a public toilet facility, the provision of mechanised boreholes, the renovation of school buildings, the establishment of a community information centre, youth skills training, payment of medical bills, and other donations over the years.
He is also undertaking a free Wi-Fi project in the Offinso South Constituency, with plans to establish 20 access points.
Agyare says he is guided by a philosophy of "leadership through service", an approach that has informed his community and public service initiatives.
