The General Overseer of the Action Chapel International Ministry, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has demanded an apology and retraction from the online portal *ghanacelebrity.com* for publishing alleged false claims about him.
The call for retraction came through a formal demand sent to the portal on October 15, 2024, by his legal representatives, Sustineri Attorneys.
The Archbishop's lawyers assert that the publication in question was defamatory and misleading.
According to the petition, the online portal had circulated a report alleging that Duncan-Williams' son had exposed him in a secret conversation with pastors regarding Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's presidential ambitions.
They argue that the publication was shared across various social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter), amplifying its reach and impact.
Duncan-Williams’ legal team firmly stated that the publication was "totally contrived and false," emphasising that there was no factual basis for the story.
They described the article as defamatory, malicious, and vexatious, accusing *ghanacelebrity.com* of knowingly spreading misinformation.
The petition further demands that the online portal issue a public apology and retract the story to mitigate the harm caused by the baseless claims.
Failure to do so, the legal team warned, would result in further legal actions to protect the reputation of Archbishop Duncan-Williams.
