The police say they have found the Chief Executive of Ghanaian firm NextGen InfraCo, Tony Mintah, who was declared missing earlier today.
NextGen InfraCo is the company awarded the licensing contract to execute Ghana's upgrade to the 5G spectrum.
According to the police, Mr. Mintah was taken from the National Communications Authority (NCA) by unidentified individuals.

Mr Mintah is currently being transferred to the Police Headquarters from the Kaneshie Police Station where he was being held.
The development comes barely a week before the November 1 implementation of the 5G service announced by the Communication Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.
In June 2024, the Minister launched the Next-Gen InfraCo (NGIC) with the aim to deliver affordable 5G mobile broadband services.
