The founder of Jesus Miracle Temple, Aflao (Bazooka Fire Centre), Apostle Prophet Elijah Dogli, has declared that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will triumph under God’s guidance.
He made the declaration at the Night of Prayer, Praises, and Worship event organised by Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketu South, to seek divine intervention for the party’s success in the upcoming December 7 elections.
Apostle Prophet Dogli said with the faith-filled initiative, God would surely intervene for the party to triumph in the Presidential and Parliamentary elections in December and asked the leadership of the party to rely on divine guidance and blessings for success.
“The victory of the NDC is assured… The NDC will be under His banner,” he said.
The gathering on Saturday evening was attended by NDC supporters, some constituency and regional executives as well as Mr Eric Edem Agbana, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ketu North, Mr Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, Madam Angela Alorwu-Tay, and Mr Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, MPs for Ho West, Afadzato South and Keta respectively.
The evening witnessed soul-stirring praises and passionate worship from a couple of church choir groups, song ministers and the renowned gospel singer, Celestine Donkor (popularly known as Gospel Soldier), keeping attendees on their toes as they sang along into the spirit.
Mr Bedzrah, alluding to the biblical experience in Acts 16:25-26 where prayers and praises got God to work to let the foundations of a prison shake, all the doors to open and for every inmate’s bands to lose, said with the event, Mr Mahama, Madam Gomashie and other NDC candidates from Volta Region had already won.
Patrons who spoke to the Ghana News Agency after the event were joyful for being a part of the unforgettable evening of spiritual upliftment and expressed renewed optimism about NDC’s electoral triumph.
“We normally assume that politicians can/are not devout Christians and so when I heard that this event is happening, I rushed here to among others, rejuvenate my spirit,” said Ms Faustina Elikplim Korwu, an attendee.
Another, who identified herself only as Elikem said she had come to present a request before God to look favourably upon Ghana.
“As we pray for victory, we declare freedom from the shackles of hardship. The NDC will unlock prosperity, restore hope, and revive Ghana’s greatness.”
In a message, Madam Gomashie who is seeking re-election, expressed appreciation to everyone for their continuous support.
She said together, they had successfully pulled off the first Prayer, Praise and Worship Night to commit the country, constituency, Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama and MP into the Lord’s hands.
