Dr Kwesi Eduafo Yankey, also known by his traditional title Nana Kwesi Boama, has been named the first Chancellor of Koforidua Technical University (KTU).
His appointment has been met with warm congratulations from both the university community and professional circles, recognising Dr Yankey's extensive expertise and commitment to the advancement of education and technical development in Ghana.
The university's leadership praised Dr Yankey's dedication, noting that his vast experience would be instrumental in guiding KTU’s growth.

In a congratulatory message, the university expressed its confidence in Dr Yankey's capacity to lead and pledged full support for his efforts to further the institution’s progress.
“We are truly honoured to have you as part of KTU's leadership," the message read, "and we are confident that with your skills and experience, KTU will advance in leaps and bounds.”
Dr Yankey, a well-established professional with a diverse background in finance, construction, and management, brings to his new role a wealth of experience. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Dumakwae Limited, a construction company based in Ghana, and as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SUNU Assurances. Â
His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Administration, with a focus on marketing and finance, from the University of Ghana, as well as a diploma in Banking from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in the United States.
The KTU community expressed its commitment to supporting Dr Yankey in all efforts aimed at advancing the university, adding, “We pray that the Almighty grants you the strength and wisdom to steer KTU in the right direction.”
