West Ham United forward Michail Antonio has lavished praise on teammate Mohammed Kudus, describing the Ghanaian midfielder as "unbelievable" following a visit to the Samba Stars Academy in Ghana.
Antonio, who is co-owner of the Samba Stars Academy, spoke openly about his admiration for Kudus during an exclusive interview with JoySports' Muftawu Nabila Abdulai on Prime Take.
The Jamaican international was effusive in highlighting Kudus' exceptional abilities, both in training and on the pitch.
“He’s unbelievable. The guy, some of the tricks he does in training, some of the tricks he does in games, is just [amazing],” Antonio said of his teammate.
“You can’t get the ball off him. And the thing is, you know what he’s going to do because you train with him week in and week out, you see him do it to other players, and you’re like, ‘He’s not going to do it to me’—and then he does it to you and you're like Mo!" he said amid laughing.
"The little things he does, flicking the ball over you, the little tricks, the dings, and all that.
“Mo is a quality player, very quality, and he’s still so young,” Antonio added. “He’s got a lot of football ahead of him, and a very exciting future.”
Kudus, currently on international duty with Ghana, has been a standout performer for both club and country. However, his recent form has been overshadowed by a suspension at West Ham.
Meanwhile, Antonio is also preparing for international duty. The 34-year-old has been called up to represent Jamaica in their upcoming two-legged World Cup qualifier against the USA.
He is set to feature for the Reggae Boyz on 15 November 2024 as they aim to progress to the next stage of the qualifiers.
Prime Take airs every Friday on the AM Show, Saturdays at 7:30 PM and with a repeat on Sunday at 11 AM.
