President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Herbert Krapa as the substantive Energy Minister of Ghana.
This appointment was announced in a press statement issued from the Jubilee House on Wednesday, November 20, and signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin.
Herbert Krapa had previously been appointed as the Minister of State at the Energy Ministry earlier this year, following the resignation of Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who is now the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the upcoming 2024 elections.
The statement further highlighted that President Akufo-Addo is relying on Mr Krapa's proven hard work and leadership skills to drive the Energy Ministry’s agenda.
The President expressed confidence that Mr Krapa’s appointment will bring continued progress to the energy sector.
In his new role, Krapa is expected to oversee critical developments in the energy sector, ensuring the successful implementation of key policies and projects to meet the country’s energy needs.
