Co-founder and Director of Research and Partnership at the Center for Learning and Childhood Development (CLCD), Dr Kwame Sakyi has been honoured for his outstanding contributions to childcare and development at the just-ended 3rd edition of the Ghana Philanthropy Awards, 2024 held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
This accolade reflects his dedication and commitment to using research to support the growth and development of children while also standing as a testament to his organization's significant philanthropic efforts to uplift children with disability across the country.
Under his guidance, Dr Kwame Sakyi has made significant strides in using research and policy to create solutions to reduce neonatal death and advance early childhood development in Ghana.
His work has empowered families of children with disability through a free community rehabilitation service, young Ghanaian graduate students through dedicated training and mentorship in research, and government leaders through innovative inter-sectorial policy endeavours.

Through these initiatives, the Center for Learning and Childhood Development has directly impacted the lives of many, instilling in them the confidence and skills necessary to pursue greatness.
His contributions extend beyond mentorship to funding and serving organizations that share his mission of supporting children in Ghana and Africa to survive and thrive.
The 3rd edition of the Ghana Philanthropy Awards organized by The Business Executive Group, seeks to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in promoting humanity’s growth and development, positively impacting their communities.
In a post-award interview after receiving this notable trophy, Dr Kwame Sakyi expressed his profound gratitude to the awarding board, staff at CLCD- Ghana and all partners who have shown love and care to the foundation over the years.

According to him, the honour signifies his exceptional dedication to research and the development of children and also setting a benchmark for others to follow.
“I am extremely grateful for such a great honour at this highest magnitude. This is indeed a dream come through. My team and I will continue to work hard for the betterment of our children tomorrow ", he said.
Center For Learning and Childhood Development has positioned itself as a leader in the childcare and development industry with credibility and a good reputation in the sector.
