Presidential Candidate for the New Force Party, Nana Kwame Bediako, has expressed deep concern over the widespread poverty, struggle, and hopelessness he observed during his tour of all 276 constituencies.
Delivering a State of the Nation address titled “The Real State of the Nation”, Mr Bediako highlighted what he described as a lack of investment in the people and their communities by Ghana’s leadership.
“I have discovered more poverty, pain, struggle, pollution, no hope with this trip and I have realized that our leaders haven’t invested in the people and the constituencies,” he lamented on Saturday, November 30.
“Tonight, I want to tell everyone who is listening to me that I have had the opportunity to travel around Ghana and I have had the chance to see what we live for and how bad we have treated our people and that did not bring me down but rather it inspired me and made me realise we have work to do,” he added.
Mr Bediako also criticised Members of Parliament for enacting laws that fail to impact the lives of their constituents meaningfully.
This, he says, contributes significantly to the underdevelopment in the constituencies, stemming from their disconnect with the people they are meant to serve.
He called on voters to prioritise the future of the country over party loyalty in the upcoming elections, urging them to make informed decisions that will lead to real progress.
