In an effort to raise awareness about the importance of clean air and actionable steps to achieve it, JoyNews has announced a special media event dedicated to the cause.
The event, titled The JoyNews National Dialogue on Clean Air, will take place on November 26, 2024, at the Ghana Institution of Engineering. It will be broadcast live on JoyNews to encourage political parties to prioritize clean air in their manifestos.
The National Dialogue aims to delve into the devastating health and economic impacts of air pollution, its connection to climate change, and the social injustices it exacerbates. The programme will spotlight the urgent issue of air pollution, which continues to pose significant risks to public health and the environment.

The event will feature expert panels, interviews with environmental leaders, and live demonstrations showcasing practical steps individuals and organizations can take to promote cleaner air.

Key guest speakers will include renowned environmental activists and policymakers who will share insights from the latest research and best practices for improving air quality. The event has been organized in collaboration with Clean Air Fund and Breathe Cities, both of which are committed to creating a cleaner and healthier future for all.
As the programme examines the current state of air pollution, it highlights the significant challenges we face. Air pollution is responsible for millions of deaths worldwide each year and contributes to chronic health conditions such as hypertension, stroke, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD).

This initiative seeks to educate the public on reducing emissions, adopting cleaner technologies, and supporting policies that promote clean air. By raising awareness, the programme aims to inspire collective action toward creating a healthier and more sustainable environment for all.
JoyNews encourages everyone to join this important conversation about clean air. The programme will be accessible online and through the JoyNews broadcast channel, ensuring it reaches a broad audience.
Organizations, businesses, and individuals are also invited to support this initiative by sharing the event within their networks and advocating for policies that prioritize air quality and sustainability.
JoyNews is proud to spearhead this vital dialogue, bringing together diverse voices to address one of the most pressing issues of our time. Together, we can create lasting change and positively impact the future of our planet and public health.
Join us on November 26 for The National Dialogue on Clean Air and be part of the movement toward a cleaner, healthier future for all.
