Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif is optimistic the newly constructed Wa Youth Resource Centre will boost skills development in the Upper West region.
The facility, which was commissioned and rechristened B.K. Adama, is the second Youth Resource Centre completed after Koforidua’s project.
They were part of the government's efforts to address the sports infrastructure deficit in the country.
"This facility will not only boost and host sports activities but also serve as a resource centre for skills development, leadership training, entrepreneurship and ensuring our youth are equipped to excel in all areas of life,” Ussif said at the unveiling of the facility.
The project for the ten multi-purpose Youth Resource Centres across the country began in 2018 under the then Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah.
