With a day to the 2024 general elections, students from the Akropong School for the Blind are joining the chorus of marginalised groups calling for peaceful polls.

The students urged all political parties to maintain the peace and stability Ghana is enjoying.

"Any instability will greatly affect us, as we rely heavily on timely intervention and support," they appealed.

The students emphasised the importance of obeying electoral rules and regulations to prevent violence.

Their appeal comes on the heels of a donation from St. Paul's Lutheran School, which included essential items to support their education and well-being.

Executive Manager of St. Paul's Lutheran School, Kojo Brako, emphasised the role of the private sector in complementing government efforts to care for the needy.

"We are committed to supporting marginalised groups and ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve," he said.

Some students expressed their excitement about being part of the 'Be A Blessing' initiative, which aims to provide support and care to those in need.

The initiative is a testament to the power of community and the importance of looking out for one another.

As Ghana prepares for its elections, the students of Akropong School for the Blind remind us of the importance of peace and stability.
