The General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has announced that the party’s internal collation of results shows former President John Mahama securing 56% of the votes in the 2024 presidential election.
Speaking at a press briefing on Sunday, December 8, he urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to expedite the collation and announcement of the official results.

"We have persistently complained about the Electoral Commission’s delays in announcing results," Asiedu Nketia lamented.
He highlighted the NDC’s confidence in its data, which is based on copies of the EC’s pink sheets signed and distributed during the electoral process.

According to him, the pink sheets indicate that Mr Mahama has secured a historic victory with over 56% of the vote, and they see no justification for the delay in announcing the official outcome.
"President John Dramani Mahama has secured a historical 56% over 56% of the votes. And these figures are compilations from our copies of the Electoral Commission pink sheets across the country.
"So if they have the originals, and they have signed and given us copies of the originals they are holding what prevents them from putting their own totals together and announcing? he asked.
“The evidence is overwhelmingly clear,” Nketia added, asserting that the results are not close enough to generate controversy.
