The Ex-staff of the GN Bank have extended their heartfelt congratulation to the President-elect John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for their landslide victory in the Election 2024.
They said the win signified the thirst for a change by most of the electorate and assured of the group’s willingness to make its services available, to contribute to the transformation of the economy especially in the financial sector.
“We acknowledge the significant challenges faced by our nation due to the 2019 banking crises, which had devastating effects on millions of Ghanaians,” a statement signed by Mr Philip Sarpiah, the Convener of the group copied to the Ghana News Agency said.
It said the action taken by the government had left a deep and lasting impact on Ghana’s financial landscape.
The statement noted that the group was encouraged by Mr Mahama’s commitment to restore the indigenous financial institutions that had collapsed.
It said the promise by the NDC to revive GN (Savings) bank, some of the defunct banks, along with several Savings and Loans and Fund Management companies resonated deeply with their own aspirations for economic recovery and stability and eagerly looked forward to the moment of reality.
