Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area, Daasebre Nana Kwaku Boateng III, says the traditional council intends to support and finance environmentally friendly initiatives within the New Juaben area.
According to him, they will focus on renewable energy, waste recycling, energy efficiency and eco-friendly projects.
Daasebre Nana Kwaku Boateng lll made the announcement during a dinner and fundraising ceremony for the establishment of the Koforidua Rural Bank PLC over the weekend in Koforidua.
According to Daasebre Nana Kwaku Boateng lll, the bank aims to serve as a catalyst for community development, addressing key areas critical to the shared future of the people of New Juaben.
He explained that the bank's mission will be anchored on five pillars: Rebanking, woman empowerment, support for small and medium-scale enterprises, agriculture development, and youth empowerment.
"The Koforidua Rural Bank PLC will prioritize environmentally friendly projects, contributing to environmental conservation, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and driving economic growth,"
Daasebre Kwaku Boateng said.
He also indicated that the bank will offer women-specific financial products, entrepreneur training, and access to credit facilities to enable women to thrive in business and leadership role
He added that supporting small and medium-scale businesses and enterprises is also a key focus area for the bank.
"The bank will provide tailored financial products, technical training, and access to modern agriculture tools to farmers, helping them adopt innovative practices, increase yields, and ensure food security," Daasebre noted.
