The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has recruited thirteen (13) new employees to the Creative Arts Agency.
A letter dated December 18, 2024, signed by V.O Otto Langmagne, the Acting Chief Director of the ministry, and addressed to the Acting Director of Arts and Culture, indicates that the posting is in furtherance to the establishment of Creative Arts Agency.
In the letter the Acting Director of Arts and Culture, Divine Owusu Ansah was tasked to supervise activities of the agency.
In the meantime, the agency is awaiting the appointment of an Executive Secretary and a governing body (Board) to see to the smooth operation of the institution.
A Legislative Instrument to the Creative Arts Industry Act (1048) is also at Parliament for assent.
The Creative Arts Agency is a body established by parliament through the Creative Arts Industry Act, 2020 (Act 1048) to provide the necessary institutional framework for the development and management of the arts industry and other related matters.
