President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Albert Kojo Twum Boafo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC).
His appointment is subject to the reconstitution of the FIC Board.
Mr. Twum Boafo is a seasoned Civil Engineer and finance expert with extensive experience in public administration. He previously served as the Chief Executive of the Ghana Free Zones Authority from 2009 to 2017.
“He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Engineering from the University of Wales, an MSc in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and an MBA in Finance and Investment Analysis from Stetson University, Deland, Florida, USA” a statement from the presidency said.
It added that Mr. Twum Boafo has extensive academic and professional background positions him well to lead the FIC in advancing Ghana’s financial intelligence and regulatory landscape.
