The Minister-designate for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, has dismissed claims by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin that he failed to submit the necessary documents requested by the Appointments Committee.
According to Sam George, he provided all the required documents to the committee on Monday, February 3.
His statement comes after Mr Afenyo-Markin, speaking on the floor of Parliament on Tuesday, February 4, alleged that the Ningo-Prampram legislator had yet to submit the requested documents.
The Minority Leader further stated that unless these documents were presented, his side would oppose Mr George’s nomination as Communications Minister.
However, responding to these claims in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Mr George clarified: “For the avoidance of any doubt and to settle any controversy, yesterday, I submitted to the Appointments Committee all the documents required of me, and more.
"I submitted certified copies of my certificates from LSE and KAIPTC, evidence of my travel, receipts of accommodation, proof of my fees paid, and the prospectus from @lseideas on the course I studied."
