Former General Manager of Nsoatreman FC, Eric Alagidede, says its high time football administrators in Ghana paid attention to key issues that will improve the Ghana Premier League.
According to him, the league is not getting any better because most administrators in the country are 'dishonest.'
His comments come following the death of football fan Nana Pooley during Nsaotreman's matchday 19 league match against Asante Kotoko last weekend.
"Most administrators are not sincere and that is where we have the problem. We are not sincere with ourselves and so we go out there, create the scenes for people to come and cause chaos and we think that it's normal," he said in an interview with Sporty FM.
"We need to begin to be sincere with ourselves and when we start that process, we won't see these things. It's a very big pool."
Alagidede criticised the leaders of neglecting the Ghana Premier League and not adding value to the Ghana's flagship tournament.
"People are making money in football and we are here killing people. No sponsor in the league, there is no money, no TV rights and there's nothing," he added.
"The people who are getting pounds and dollars all over in Europe, other parts of Africa; leagues in Tanzania are making so much money. The Ghana Premier League has no money. It's people dipping their hands into their pocket.
"These are discussions we should be having and not having discussions about stopping hooliganism. We should be having discussions about bring money into the league where we can players GHS 5000 and above for them to stay and not move to Iraq."
