The Ghana International School (GIS) community is gearing up for an unforgettable experience as the GIS Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Bazaar 2025, dubbed the “Community FunFest,” takes place on Saturday, February 22.
This event will be at the GIS primary school campus in Cantonments, Accra, from 9 am to 5 pm, bringing together students, parents, faculty, and the broader community for a full day of excitement, entertainment, and networking.
With the theme “Empowering Our Community,” the FunFest promises to be more than just a day of amusement.

"It is an opportunity for attendees to connect, explore new ideas, and enjoy an array of activities while contributing to a worthy cause.
"An entry fee of GH¢50 grants access to this dynamic experience, while children under three can participate for free.
A staple on the school’s annual calendar, the GIS-PTA Bazaar has long been celebrated as a unifying event that strengthens community bonds while raising funds to support essential educational initiatives.
This year’s edition will be no exception, offering a lively mix of attractions designed to cater to all ages. From a thrilling soccer tournament to the Upside-Down Room, the event promises engaging experiences at every turn.
Attendees can browse a vibrant marketplace, where a diverse selection of vendors and sponsors will showcase unique products and services, creating a one-of-a-kind shopping adventure.
More than just a fair, the FunFest provides a safe and welcoming space where families and friends can relax, connect, and create lasting memories.

Exciting raffles with fantastic giveaways will keep the energy high, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion.
While the event is centred on fun and community engagement, its impact reaches far beyond the day’s festivities.
Proceeds from the Bazaar will be strategically reinvested into educational development at GIS and the wider community, benefiting students, families, and society at large.
Efe Ogundowole, Chairperson of GIS-PTA, emphasised the significance of the event, describing it as more than just a gathering.

“The GIS-PTA Bazaar is more than an event—it is a celebration of unity and shared purpose. Every attendee contributes to empowering our students and uplifting the community,” she stated.
The GIS-PTA Bazaar extends an open invitation to everyone—students, parents, teachers, sponsors, vendors, and members of the wider community—to take part in this remarkable initiative.
Whether by attending, volunteering, or contributing as a sponsor, every form of participation plays a role in furthering the cause of education at GIS and beyond.
As the countdown begins, excitement is building for what promises to be a spectacular day filled with joy, discovery, and community spirit.
The 2025 GIS Community FunFest is set to leave a lasting impact, bringing people together for a shared mission of empowerment, education, and fun.
