President John Mahama has appointed Dr. George Atta-Boateng as the acting Director General of National Signals Bureau (NSB).
Dr. Atta-Boateng is a former Director-General of the National Information Technology Agency (NITA).
Dr. George Atta-Boateng is an Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Specialist with 18 years working experience in areas ranging from Data Communications and Networks-Cellular, Mobile and Wireless networking technologies from 1G to 6G, Software Development, Radio and Television Integration Systems.
He has a proven record to manage large scale projects within time and budget constraints. He is an expert in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) development, Policy and Strategy, particularly in areas relevant to developing countries.
He has an in-depth knowledge about ICT-readiness for many developing countries around the world.
These include in-depth reviews of the ICT sector including Market Structure, Universal Service and Access, Cyber-Security, Telecommunications Infrastructure, use of ICT in Health, Business, Government and Education.
He has also lectured in some tertiary institutions in Ghana at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The various experiences noted within this CV illustrate the value and vision that he can bring to any professional working environment independently or in a team.
