Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the Minister of State in charge of government communications, has announced that the president will soon deliver his first address on the State of the Nation.
Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday after the first cabinet meeting with ministers of state, he stated, "In a few days' time, President Mahama will address Parliament and deliver a message on the State of the Nation."
He, however did not mention specifically when the address would be delivered.
The Minister explained that the president would use this opportunity to "delve deeply into our current economic situation, what we inherited, and the plans moving forward to ensure economic revival."
He also mentioned that the National Economic Dialogue would take place on 3rd and 4th March, when various stakeholders are expected to meet and discuss matters aimed at transforming the country's economy.
Mr Ofosu Kwakye added that the Finance Minister, Ato Forson will also deliver his first budget on 11th March, which will further explain the situation, outline government policies regarding the economy, and present measures to be implemented to overcome the current economic challenges.
