Samartex forward, Mohammed Munkeyli's, second-half strike sealed a 1-0 win against Nsoatreman at the Nana Komansah Park in Nsoatre on matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League.
The victory marked Samartex's second consecutive win against Nsoatreman in the Ghana Premier League, which resumed this weekend after a four-week break following the tragic stabbing of Kotoko fan, "Pooley," in Nsoatre on matchday 19.
The defending champions Samartex have had an inconsistent season, but this win was their sixth in the league, moving them to 9th position with 27 points.
Samartex are now unbeaten in their last five league matches, with two wins and three draws.
The defeat however, was Nsoatreman's 9th, dropping to 14th position, just three points above the relegation zone with 21 points.
Samartex will host Kotoko on matchday 24, trailing the league leaders by 10 points while Nsoatreman will face Basake Holy Stars.
