The late Joana Deladem Yabani, a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) who was allegedly murdered by her lover, will be laid to rest on April 5, 2025.
Her burial service will take place at the Jehovah Shammah Assemblies of God Church at New Ashongman in Accra, beginning at 8:30 AM with a filing past.
A thanksgiving service will be held in her memory on April 13, 2025, at the same church.

Joana, who tragically passed away on February 27, 2025, is survived by her parents, Dr. John B.K. Yabani and Mrs. Rejoice Amakie Yabani, along with eight siblings.
Her death sent shockwaves after reports emerged that she was allegedly killed by her lover under unclear circumstances.
Her body was discovered near the school’s Rehabilitation and Disability Centre after she had visited campus to study for her mid-semester examination.

Preliminary investigations implicated her supposed lover, Daniel Tuffour, who is currently facing trial in connection with her death. The case has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for swift justice.
