Ghana’s U-20 team will face defending champions Senegal in their second Group C match at the ongoing Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Black Satellites were held to a 1-1 draw in their opening fixture against the Democratic Republic of Congo, with Aziz Musibua’s first-half equaliser earning Ghana a point.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, head coach Desmond Ofei expressed confidence in his team’s ability to improve in front of goal when they face Senegal.
“As expected, it was a tough game. DR Congo fought for every ball and were aggressive, just as our analysis had shown,” Ofei said.
“We told the boys they did well. We were fortunate not to concede late on, and I feel we dominated the game.”
“We have to finish our chances, and I believe we will in the next game,” he added.
