Seven years in the shadows. One afternoon to change it all. Berekum Presby SHS pulled off a sensational academic heist in the first semifinal of the Brong Ahafo Zonal Championship, staging a last-round resurrection to beat the odds and their rivals, securing a spot in the zonal final with 33 points.
Trailing the contest until the last round, Berekum Presby were written off as Techiman SHS held their lead and Sacred Heart SHS fought to keep pace. But just when the dust seemed to have settled, Berekum surged forward in a stunning final-round twist to flip the script.

Techiman SHS, who had come into the contest with high expectations after scoring 56 points in the qualifiers and boasting a zonal final appearance three years ago, were left stunned with 31 points, just two short.
Mim SHS settled for 24 points after coming into the contest with the lowest points amassed in the qualifiers, 18, while Sacred Heart SHS, who had knocked out the reigning champions with 49 points in the qualifiers, could only manage 15 points in this high-stakes clash.
