Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) has emerged victorious in the Western Regional Championship of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz, cementing their status as a formidable force in the competition.
The Takoradi-based school delivered an outstanding performance, dominating all four rounds of the contest to clinch the regional title with an impressive 37 points.
Their closest contender, Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS, finished second with 25 points, while Sekondi College trailed with 21 points to place third in a tightly contested final showdown.
Held in Takoradi, the finale brought together some of the region’s top contenders in a fierce battle of wits, speed and scientific precision.
However, GSTS kept their composure throughout, consistently maintaining the lead and thrilling supporters with confident and calculated answers.
The win earns GSTS not just the regional bragging rights but also a ticket to the national championship in Accra, where they will face equally determined champions from across the country.
With this commanding victory, GSTS has sent a clear message—they are not just participating in this year’s NSMQ. They’re coming for the crown.
