Ghanaian music duo R2Bees will headline the 8th edition of the Shutdown All White Invasion Concert in Minneapolis on 15th August 2025.
The much-anticipated event will take place at The Cabooze in downtown Minneapolis, with doors opening at 5:00 PM and the show running from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, followed by an after-party at The Bazemnt.
Comprised of Faisal Hakeem (Omar Sterling) and Rashid Mugeez, R2Bees are internationally recognised for their signature blend of Afrobeats, hip-hop and R&B. The pair are expected to thrill audiences with hit songs such as “Slow Down”, “Kiss Your Hand”, “Tonight” and “Life”.
The Shutdown All White Invasion, organised by Julian Asiedu, popularly known as Jagonzy, along with the Shutdown Boys, has become a staple cultural event in the Twin Cities. More than just a music concert, it is a celebration of African heritage, incorporating fashion showcases, cultural exhibitions, and live performances. It aims to foster appreciation, unity and dialogue among diverse communities in Minnesota.
This year’s edition also features a strong line-up of emerging and local talent, including Foreignward, Rudeboy Solo, Nilo Boy, H Hardy, YOQB, Dat Boi Tropical, No. Bodyu, P Willz, Koo Wiase, Zennah and YQ Solo.
A vibrant team of DJs will provide additional entertainment, including DJ Lyriks, DJ Eazy E, DJ Elmara, DJ Kuda, DJ Game, DJ Soundtainer, DJ MKZ x DJ D-Waynne, DJ Famous, DJ Oceeking, Hidden DJ, DJ Boziah and others.
The evening will be hosted by KMJ, The Royal Host and Ghanaian Rozay, also known as the Mouth of the South, promising a night filled with energy and engaging performances.
