Robbers have allegedly broken into the Symbols Yehweh International Church at Achinakrom in the Ejisu municipality of the Ashanti Region to steal.
They bolted with all service items, including musical instruments and other electronic gadgets.
Head Pastor of the church, Rev. Richard Antwi, says they realised the burglary when members arrived for Tuesday evening service.
“We came for service and found that the burglar-proof bars had been removed. Everything inside was gone guitars, generators, microphones, even Bibles,” Rev. Antwi said.
“This is not the first time a church here has been targeted,” he added. “Life in this area is hard because many young people refuse to work, which has led to rising social problems.”
Rev. Antwi appealed to the police for better security. “The people of Achinakrom need protection. Without it, these thefts will keep happening, and it’s becoming unbearable.”
