Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to education and youth leadership development by welcoming pupils and teachers from Akim Asafo Presbyterian Basic School to Ghana’s Parliament.
The visit formed part of a civic outreach initiative designed to cultivate informed, responsible, and actively engaged future citizens.
During the visit, students were given a guided tour of the parliamentary chamber, witnessed live legislative proceedings, and engaged in an interactive dialogue with Dr. Agyemang.

Speaking during the session, the MP emphasized the vital role of civic education in sustaining Ghana’s democracy and shaping the next generation of leaders.
"Exposure to how Parliament functions helps demystify governance and empowers young people to see themselves as stakeholders in Ghana’s future,” he stated.

Beyond the educational component, the event underscored the broader role of Parliament—not only as a legislative body but as a national institution for mentorship, inclusion, and citizen engagement.
Teachers who accompanied the students described the experience as enlightening and inspiring, praising the initiative for bringing governance closer to the classroom.

This civic interaction aligns with Dr. Agyemang’s broader vision of bridging the gap between national leadership and young people in his constituency, through deliberate investments in education, mentorship, and meaningful access to public institutions.
