Panelist Delki has described the use of sex toys as “crazy”, expressing her disapproval of the practice during a discussion on Joy Prime’s Talk Your Shh on Saturday.
Speaking on the programme, which focused on women using sex toys either for sexual satisfaction or alongside their partners, Delki said she would rather “give herself to a stranger than use sex toys”, explaining that she found the devices “scary” and potentially dangerous.
“It is a machine and you could get hurt by it,” she said. She added that women who use sex toys might not be getting enough satisfaction from their partners, which could be why they turn to such devices.
However, fellow panelist Vera disagreed. “I have a boyfriend who gives me satisfaction but I still use the sex toys and my boyfriend is comfortable with it. I use sex toys while having sex with my boyfriend and he is fine with that,” she said.
Delki revealed that despite being apart from her boyfriend for years, she has not been tempted to use sex toys. “I see my friends using it but I can’t still use it even though my boyfriend is not available at the moment,” she said.
She also emphasised the difference between making love and having sex, urging women to guide their partners to ensure they are properly satisfied.
“When a man is making love to you, you are supposed to get excited. That prepares the way for the actual sex to take place. He should know where and how to touch your body,” she explained.
Delki criticised some Ghanaian men for lacking skills in lovemaking. “Tell your man how to have sex with you and where to touch you as a woman,” she advised. She concluded by reiterating her preference for a man over sex toys.
Talk Your Shh is a women-focused talk show featuring unfiltered discussions on relationships and lifestyle. It airs every Saturday at 9 pm on JoyPrime.
