Ghana Premier League titleholders Bibiani GoldStars will open their maiden CAF Champions League campaign against Algeria’s JS Kabylie in the preliminary round of the 2025/26 edition.
The winner of that tie will progress to face either Sierra Leone’s East End Lions or Tunisia’s OR US Monastir in the subsequent stage of the qualifiers.
GoldStars booked their ticket to Africa’s flagship club competition after lifting the Ghanaian top-flight crown for the very first time in the club’s history — a remarkable feat achieved under the guidance of coach Frimpong Manso.
The Miners, who upset the odds to win the league, are determined to carry that momentum onto the continental scene. With preparations underway, the club has strengthened its squad, eager to compete fiercely both at home and in Africa.
