Bibiani Gold Stars secured a vital away victory on Sunday, edging Hohoe United 1-0 at the Hohoe Sports Stadium in Matchweek 15 of the Ghana Premier League.
Richard Kotey proved to be the difference, firing home in the 33rd minute to hand the visitors all three points in a tightly contested encounter.
The win marks Gold Stars’ second away success of the season, their first coming against Swedru All Blacks on October 4.
The important victory lifts Bibiani Gold Stars to third place on the league table with 25points, just three behind leaders Aduana FC, who sit top on 28 points.
The Miners will look to maintain their push up the standings when they take on Dreams FC in their next fixture.
For Hohoe United, the defeat compounds their struggles as they slip to 13th place with 17 points.
The hosts will be hoping for a quick response when they face Basake Holy Stars in their next league outing.
