The Africa Governance Centre, who are currently organising the African Political Summit 2025, have signed a memorandum of understanding with The Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL) and the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).
The signing of this MoU marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between the Africa Governance Centre and the two international institutions towards strengthening the political Governance framework in Africa, Asia and the Carribean.
Key among the intended objectives of these MoUs is to strengthen south-south collaboration with political parties within Asia and Latin America, provide opportunities for exchange of resources, enrich the resource base of African Political Parties as well as to collaborate on strategic initiatives towards the betterment of politics and Governance in Africa.
At the signing, The Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL) was represented by H.E. Alejandro Moreno Cardenas while the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) were represented by its Chairperson, H.E. Chong Eui-Yong.
The Africa Governnace Centre was also represented by its Executive Director, Prof Nelson Oppong and Chairperson Ms Benedicta Lasi.
