Staff of the Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) came together today to celebrate their Managing Director, Dr. Philip Oti-Mensah, with a series of heartwarming surprises from the moment he arrived at work.
In a post shared on Facebook by UMB’s Corporate Communications Manager, Edem Knight-Tay, the team described Dr. Oti-Mensah as a “transformational leader” whose vision, dedication, and passion continue to inspire them daily.

“On your birthday, we pause to say thank you for leading with purpose and heart. From all of us at UMB — we celebrate you, we appreciate you, and we wish you the happiest of birthdays,” the message read.

The celebration highlighted the admiration and appreciation staff have for Dr. Oti-Mensah’s leadership and his role in steering the bank’s growth.
