Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is confident Kwasi Sibo will make the squad for the next international break after impressing on his debut.
The Real Oviedo midfielder left a positive impression on the minds of many after playing against Mali in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Sibo, who was a late addition to the squad, started and played the entire game as the Black Stars picked up three points at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking on the performance of the new recruit, Addo lauded the Spain-based midfielder, giving hints of a return sooner than later.
"First of all, big congrats to him. I think he really did well. It's not easy to come from a different environment to fit into the squad, but yeah, he knows a lot of players already in the team, and he connected well," he said after the game.
"He's very, very confident, and I think he did extremely well, especially when you see that this was his first match. He's a warrior throughout, you could see.
"I think for the future, things will even get better, but like all players, his performance in his club will decide for the next call-up. But the next window is so close, and I'm pretty sure that he will be called again after this performance."
Sibo has been an impressive figure for Real Oviedo and helped the team secure promotion to the Spanish top flight, where he has played in all three of their league games.
