After exploring his roots in Belgium, sharing a life-changing proposal in Dubai, and reflecting on setbacks in football, Belgian international and Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku returns with his most heartfelt chapter yet.
Titled “Back to Ghana After 17 Years”, the fourth episode of Doku’s exclusive YouTube docu-series follows him on an emotional journey back to the homeland of his parents.
For the first time since childhood, Jeremy travelled with his siblings, his fiancée, and his family to reconnect with Ghana, not as a kid, but as an adult.

Across the episode, viewers witness a side of Doku never shown before: A family safari trip, discovering Ghana’s natural beauty, and an emotional reunion with his grandmother and relatives he has not seen in over 17 years, a few moments of reflection as he rediscovers the culture and traditions of his roots, and finally, a community football tournament organized by Jeremy, giving young players the chance to shine in front of him and his brother, who is also a football agent.
More than a travel diary, this episode is about identity, humility, and giving back. By returning to Ghana, Jeremy Doku not only reconnects with his past but also shares an intimate portrait of what it means to carry two cultures and remain grounded at the highest level of world football.
