The Ghana Tourism Authority, in partnership with key trade and industry stakeholders, has announced the Ghana International Expo and Investment Forum, an event aimed at promoting Ghanaian businesses, tourism and investment opportunities across Africa and beyond.
The Expo will take place from 24th to 27th September 2025 at Adeyemi Bero, Alausa Ikeja in Lagos, Nigeria. It will bring together Ghanaian entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and international business leaders under the theme: Unlocking Investment Potential Through Intra-African Trade and Tourism.
The forum will serve as a platform for Ghanaian businesses in sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, technology, creative arts, fashion, finance and services to connect with Nigerian and international counterparts. It will also showcase Ghana’s strengths, promote investment opportunities, and encourage both bilateral and multilateral trade partnerships.
Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Mrs Maame Efua Houadjeto, said: “This Expo is more than just a marketplace. It is a gateway for Ghanaian businesses to position themselves as global players, strengthen our economic ties with Nigeria, and open doors to new markets across Africa and beyond.” She added that the Authority recognises the importance of the event in advancing regional integration and supporting the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
“As the regulatory body mandated to promote tourism, we are committed to support initiatives that will highlight Ghana as a premier destination for tourism, business and culture,” Mrs Houadjeto stated.
The Expo will feature:
• Business exhibitions showcasing Ghanaian products and services
• Investment forums and panel discussions on trade policies, financing and cross-border opportunities
• Networking sessions for businesses, investors and policymakers from Ghana and Nigeria
• Tourism and cultural showcases, highlighting Ghanaian fashion, music and arts
The event is expected to attract participants from government, the private sector, trade associations, investors and the diaspora.
Organisers say the initiative ties into Ghana’s wider economic agenda of promoting exports, diversifying the economy and leveraging AfCFTA to position the country as a competitive hub for investment, trade and tourism.
