The Central Regional Police Command has begun a manhunt for six suspects who escaped lawful custody at Kotokuraba police station in the Central Region.
According to the police, on September 11, 2025, at about 9:00 pm, the Central Regional Police Command received information through the District Police Commander that six out of eight suspects, namely, Kofi Asifuah, Ernest Kojo, Ekow Arhinful, Toffic Faisal, Henry Kwofie and Innusah Addai, who were arrested for various criminal offences, had escaped.

Prior to the break, the supervising inspector at the Kotokuraba police station had sent the station orderly to buy food for the inmates as they complained of hunger at about 8:40 pm.
The inmates later asked for water to flush the WC as the taps were not flowing.

In the process of opening the cell's door to give the inmates water, six out of the eight suspects overpowered the inspector and ran away.

The District Commander, upon the receipt of the information, led the night patrol team in search of the suspects, but to no avail.
The Central Regional Police Command requests that the general public help with any credible information that will lead to the recapture of the six suspects.
