The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Simon Madjie, has called on the international energy community to invest in Ghana, citing the country’s readiness for both traditional fossil fuel projects and renewable energy initiatives.
He made the appeal at Ghana Energy Day in Accra, held on the sidelines of the 2025 Africa Oil Week conference, where he outlined Ghana’s economic reforms, political stability, and strong legal protections for investors as key incentives for global partners.
Mr Madjie also unveiled the Investor Grievance Academy, a new initiative designed to quickly resolve business concerns before they escalate.
He said the platform is part of Ghana’s commitment to not only attract investors but also to ensure their long-term success in the country.
“Ghana is serious about attracting, keeping, and helping investors thrive,” the GIPC CEO said.

Mr Madjie stressed that Ghana’s vision is to position itself as a hub for energy investment on the continent, balancing the development of its petroleum resources with innovations in green technologies.
The 2025 Africa Oil Week conference took place from 15th September 2025, to 18th September 2025. The conference graced by policy makers, petroleum producers, investors, among others, was to unite industry leaders to develop policy, share discoveries, secure investment, and shape Africa’s energy future
