The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested a man for allegedly running an unlicensed clinic at Yeji Zongo in the Bono East Region for more than a decade.
Named by the police as Hanson Osei, he was picked up on September 28, 2025, after an intelligence led the police to his residence, where he had converted a chamber-and-hall room into a clinic.
In a police statement signed and issued by the Bono East Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Appiah Danquah, the police explained that a search at the premises uncovered several used clinical items, including needles, malaria injection bottles, infusion rubber sachets, and other medical supplies.
ASP Danquah said during interrogation, Osei said he had been running the facility for the past 11 years.
The police added that Osei has since been arraigned before the Tuobodom District Court and remanded in custody to reappear on October 6, 2025.
