Samartex head coach Christopher Ennin has attributed his side’s draw against Medeama SC to a lapse in concentration after they surrendered their lead late in the Ghana Premier League game.
Dramani Awuah opened the scoring for Samartex with a stunning strike from near the centre circle at the TNA Park, but Kingsley Braye’s late rebound salvaged a point for Medeama, a result that keeps the defending champions at the top of the Ghana Premier League table.
“It was quite a good game, but unfortunately, we just gave the game out,” Ennin lamented after the match.
"We still have to work on how to hold such pressure when [in the lead].
"Lack of concentration [cost us]. I was expecting them to back their game up and stop sitting [deep]. I was shouting on them but they tried to defend the goal."
The draw extends Samartex’s unbeaten run to six matches - two wins and four draws - as they prepare to host Hohoe United next in Samreboi.
