Golden Academy has emerged as the overall winner of the Ministry of Health (MOH)’s Got Talent competition, held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the MOH Basic School premises in Accra.
The event, which featured 16 contestants drawn from the school’s student body, showcased an impressive array of talents in music, dance, poetry, drama, and creative arts.
The competition formed part of a series of activities marking the school’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, which will climax with a grand durbar on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

In an interview with Mr Ebenezer Decker, Headmaster of the school, on Joy Learning TV, he revealed that the anniversary celebrations were officially launched in 2024 and have since been marked by numerous activities highlighting the institution’s achievements over the decades.

Mr Decker disclosed that the grand durbar is expected to attract several distinguished personalities, including Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang; Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education; Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah, Director of the National Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre; and Prof. Vera Ogeh Fiador, the first female National President of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).

The talent show drew enthusiastic participation from staff, students, and invited guests, who were treated to an evening of creativity, innovation, and artistic brilliance.

At the end of the keenly contested event, Golden Academy distinguished itself with an outstanding performance that impressed both the judges and the audience, securing the top prize.
