In a landmark launch event held at the premises of EV House LTD in East Legon, EV House LTD officially inaugurated its operations in Ghana, marking a transformative milestone in the country’s journey toward sustainable mobility.
The exclusive launch introduced two exceptional electric vehicles — the Geely Riddara RD6 and the Geely Geome Panda Mini — designed to redefine the future of transportation in Ghana and across Africa.
The launch event was graced by the impressive gathering of selected industry leaders, government representatives, corporate executives, environmental advocates, and media personalities, all united by a shared commitment to sustainable progress.
EV House LTD, a subsidiary of Accra EV (GH) LTD, is a premium electric car and pickup truck marketing, fleet management, and e-mobility solutions company dedicated to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). The company’s mission is to enable businesses, governments, and individuals to transition smartly and efficiently to electric mobility. EV House LTD’s products allow business and government fleet customers to “do more and spend less.”
EV House LTD was founded and is led by Edward T. Hightower, a global automotive industry senior executive with over three decades of experience – between Ford, BMW, and GM – in automotive and electric vehicle engineering, marketing, industrialization, and business leadership. He also spent three years turning around a struggling start-up EV manufacturer in the US as the CEO & President. Hightower is also the author of the book, Motoring Africa: Sustainable Automotive Industrialization, published in 2018.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Hightower shared EV House’s vision for the future, emphasizing the company’s commitment to advancing Ghana’s transition toward cleaner, more sustainable transportation, and the localization of the EV industry in Ghana.
“Our mission at EV House is to empower Ghanaians to drive the future — a future that’s cleaner, more efficient, and proudly made for Africa,” said Mr. Hightower. “We are not just selling cars; we are building an ecosystem that connects Ghana to the global electric vehicle industry.” Together, we can make Ghana a leader in sustainable transportation across the continent.”

With its advanced design and zero-emission capabilities, the RD6 is ideal for government fleets, logistics operators, and businesses seeking sustainable yet powerful mobility solutions.
Geely Geome Panda Mini – The Most Accessible EV in Ghana
Also introduced at the event, the Geely Geome Panda Mini was presented as the most accessible EV in Ghana. With its remarkable price point, the Panda Mini is compact, efficient, and affordable, it offers up to 200 km of range, delivering outstanding value for small business, corporate, and municipal use.
With seating for four passengers, the ability to charge at a standard Ghana outlet, and low operating costs, it’s designed for city driving, staff transport, and mobility services. Its high efficiency and ease of use make it a practical choice for organizations and individuals committed to reducing their carbon footprint while saving on fuel and maintenance.
Mr. Hightower concluded his address by reaffirming EV House’s dedication to environmental stewardship and technological advancement, positioning the company as a key driver in Ghana’s green industrial transformation.
