The family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings, has arrived at the Information Services Department (ISD) in Accra to address the media on preparations for her final funeral rites.
The briefing is expected to outline the official programme, venues, dates, and all activities associated with honouring the memory of the late stateswoman.
Nana Konadu, who passed away on October 23, 2025, will be accorded a state funeral, President John Dramani Mahama has announced.
The state funeral is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra.
Nana Konadu, the founder of the National Democratic Party (NDP) and former First Lady from 1981 to 2001, passed away earlier this month, prompting an outpouring of tributes from political leaders, civil society groups, and Ghanaians across the country.
Many have celebrated her as a fearless advocate for women’s rights and a central figure in shaping Ghana’s modern political landscape.
The Rawlings family is expected to use the ISD platform to clarify the full funeral arrangements and provide guidance to the public on how they may participate in the ceremonies.
